Tim Seydell Photography. Do not use without my permission.

Something interesting happened at the time I was at Indigo Lake, my camera was really picking up the reds. The sunset this night was spectacular, but it was coming out insane on my camera.

I found out later I was using the "user defined" picture style, with a bump in saturation and contrast. The darkness on the left is from a Cokin Grey-Graduated Filter, it was shot in RAW with exposure down 2 full stops on-camera. Even with daylight white-balance it was almost completely red, with just a tiny bit of blue in the middle. The water ripples are from someone with their dog that jumped into the lake off to the right :)

I will try to edit the RAW file and get some more blue from the shot, but the sky was very red that night, and I wanted to show you what I saw on my camera the moment I took this.

That's really cool, though. I think the blue would take away from it. It's almost as if there's a lake of red in the sky, reflected only off of the lake right in front of you. It's quite brilliant!
